How the journey started

The story of E-Rickshaw is connected to the pledge taken way back at IIT in 1972 ‘To give back to the society’. A paddle rickshaw ride of Vijay Kapoor from Chandni Chowk car parking to market exhibited the pain that a driver goes through every day. After a thought-provoking conversation with the driver, Vijay Kapoor created a vehicle which is eco-friendly, had a low running cost and requires almost zero human effort. And that is what led to the birth of E-Rickshaw in India. With a constant belief to create self-employment for thousands of people, we want to upgrade their status in society by providing them with a more steady source of income.
